Service Description

This inspection of your heating appliance's venting system will be performed using state of the art inspection tools and software. Inspection of the entire system is required under NFPA 211 standards which we are legally held to. ***The cost listed includes inspection of one appliance it's venting system.*** Since our company has not serviced the system or appliance before we cannot determine the serviceability of it without first performing the necessary inspections. This includes inquiries about caps and leaking issues. If we service the chimney, we are legally responsible for all parts of it; not just the parts we service. Should other flues or appliances need an inspection, each additional inspection will incur a fee of $249. During this inspection, we will need to access multiple portions of the appliance and chimney system throughout the home. This may include but is not limited to: attics, crawlspaces, closets, rooms the system passes through or is attached to, roofs, exterior chimney and basements. While in these areas, we will be checking for proper clearances and construction of the system. Should any limitations prevent full inspection of the system, a notation on the report will be made for the necessity of a level 3 inspection to be performed. This only occurs when some form of demolition for access is necessary. This service includes a video inspection that produces pictures for your report which is recorded using Chimspect Software. The report is necessary to determine the scope of work to provide an estimate for replacement or repairs. The pricing of the service includes 2 courtesy estimates should a variation of the original estimate be desired. Additional estimates will require an additional fee.
